DOWNLOAD


When trying to download a new setup package, only the previous one is listed

This may be because your browser had cached the old web page, so it only displays the old page.

To correct this issue, try refreshing the web page. When viewing the Download page, select the browser menu options:
View | Refresh (or Reload)

Error message during installation

When installing Debrief, your Windows logon user account must have "computer administrator" or "power user" privileges. If not, the follow error message may occur during installation:


        Setup was unable to create the directory "C:\Program Files\Idealign".
        Error 5: Access is denied.

        Setup was not completed.
        Please correct the problem and run Setup again.

Error message during installation

When entering the Debrief license key, your Windows logon user account must have "computer administrator" or "power user" privileges. If not, the follow error message may occur during installation:


        Unable to access system registry. (1008A)
        This may be because your Windows user account does not have 
        computer administrator privileges, which appear to be required 
        on this PC for installing software.

Error message during installation of an upgrade

Before installing a new release, ensure that Debrief is not running. Otherwise, this message may occur:


        C:\Program Files\Idealign\Debrief.exe
        An error occurred while trying to replace the existing file

When installing an upgrade, the setup file is reported as corrupted

This can occur if the downloaded setup file (DebriefSetup-nnnn.exe) was not completely downloaded from the web. The file size should be the size mentioned on the Download web page. If it is smaller, then the download probably did not complete.

To correct this issue, download the new setup package again. Then run the new copy of the setup program.

Can international date formats be displayed?

Yes. Additional date formats were added in v2.2, covering more than the English/US format.


Received message "NotePadCheck-10" at startup

This issue was resolved in v2.2, with the introduction of international (non-English/US) date formats.


Why is my "Folders" folder red?

This indicates that something has been stored in the root folder, e.g. a note, rather than a "proper" folder. Store items in regular folders and this indicator should disappear.
